Hi

Thought i would post info on how to make an RFID blocking wallet. Sorry if this has allready been discussed before and everyone knows how to do it...but for those who don't it could valuable info.

Firstly what is RFID. Radio Frequency Identification. These RFID tags are present in passports and they are becoming more and more commonplace in credit/debit cards in the US and across Europe. The personal infoormation stored on these RFID tags could be read by remote scanners straight from your pocket without you even realising it!  Angry

A RFID blocking wallet seemed like a great idea to make, and with a little look online i found out how to do it. Metal is very good at impeding radio signals, so i have quite simply placed a strip of aluminium foil in the main part of the wallet.

I make all my wallets with this little added security feature now as it only takes a piece of foil and maybe an extra 5 mintutes work  Grin Now am not saying im 100% safe from RFID fraud, but i do feel a little safer hehe  Cheesy
